UNL Plant Breeding Symposium 2018
The fifth UNL-Plant Breeding Symposium will be happening on March 13, 2018. Graduate students from the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, UNL along with Dr David Hyten, will host this symposium as part of the Dupont Plant Science Symposium series initiated in 2008. The goal of the symposium series is to enhance agricultural scientific literacy, stimulate collaboration and help build interest in plant breeding careers. The theme of the 2018 UNL PB Symposium is 'Plant Breeding for Climate Resilient Agriculture'. Shortly we will be sending out the deadlines for submitting, travel awards scholarship applications, posters and oral presentations.
Cash prizes will be awarded for the best posters and every student selected for oral presentations!
All students, staff, faculty members and the general public are invited to come, have lunch and learn about the exciting research being done in the field of plant breeding.
