With the semester wrapping up and the holidays quickly approaching, the staff at HCC would like to wish you and yours a very Happy Holidays and the best of luck in 2019!

Additionally, we would like to remind you of a few of our policies and upcoming events.

Open Office Hours:
HCC Staff will be on hand every Thursday from 2 to 4 pm to offer one-on-one assistance and consultation. If you are having issues with your work on HCC or would like tips on how to make your workflows more efficient, stop by our offices! Not available on Thursdays? We welcome drop-ins anytime or contact us at hcc-support@unl.edu to schedule an appointment.

QOS Increases for Acknowledgements:
Researchers who acknowledge the use of HCC in publications or presentations can receive increased priority. For more information on how to report such acknowledgements, please see: https://hcc.unl.edu/hcc-policies

Purge Policy:
As a reminder, all items in /work directories are subject to HCC's purge policy. Current policy states that any files that have been inactive for 6 months or more will be deleted in an effort to keep storage space free. Users can use the command `hcc-purge -l' from the prompt of any of the clusters for a list of "purge eligible" files.

Resource Planning Committee:
HCC requests the input of its users regarding resource acquisition through hardware and software purchases. If you wish to join these discussions (and in effect join HCC's Resources Planning team), please sign up for the mailing list here https://hcc.unl.edu/resource-planning-committee. Meetings are held virtually on a monthly basis.
