Software Carpentry Workshop: Learn Bash, Git and Python

HCC is proud to host a Software Carpentry Workshop to be held jointly at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and the University of Nebraska Omaha campuses.

This hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems.

Topics covered include:
- Automating tasks using the Unix shell
- Software Version Control (Git)
- Introduction to Programming with Python

This workshop will be live cast on both UNL and UNO campuses. Helpers will be on hand at both locations to assist with issues and answer questions.
