Research Participants Needed: Undergraduate International Students in the Employment Search

Volunteers are needed for a research study that seeks narratives from international students of color related to employment search in the U.S. The study seeks to illuminate the discriminatory experiences faced by undergraduates, international students of color while job searching in the U.S.

To participate, volunteers must be:

  • An international student of color
  • Have graduated or anticipating graduation with a bachelor's degree (have completed or completing the undergraduate program)
  • Have actively job searched for full-time positions in the U.S. in 2021 (i.e. finding and applying to jobs, interviews, etc.)
Participation will include:
  • A 90-minute focus group with other participants, and
  • A60- to 90-minute individual interview with the researcher.
Volunteers may also be asked to submit documents, records, or artifacts that can contribute to their narrative, as well as review their individual narratives. Ultimately, this project will add to the limited scholarship on international students’ post-graduation, job search experience in the U.S.
