Graphic Design Intern - Nebraska News Service/CoJMC (Lincoln, NE)

The Nebraska News Service graphic design intern will help launch a newly redesigned digital publication for student-produced news in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Responsibilities of the position include creating logos for the site’s subpages including Mosaic and Sports Lab, facilitating good site design, working with students and faculty to create graphics and logos to accompany their work including news stories, blog and podcasts; ensuring visual consistency across platforms including YouTube and SoundCloud; and creating elements for video and social media. Candidates must be pursuing a UNL bachelor’s degree in graphic design, advertising and public relations, journalism or a related field, knowledge of layout, typography, line composition, color and other graphic design fundamentals; experience with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator; strong creative and analytical skills; and a compelling portfolio of graphic design work.
