Nebraska Mosaic

You’ve read about it in the DN:

http://www.dailynebraskan.com/a-e/students-and-refugees-interact-learn-journalism-in-special-topics-class-1.2704380#.T1D2QJgzJcM

You’ve read about it in the Journal Star:

Now you can enroll in the Nebraska Mosaic class and experience it for yourself.

We cover Lincoln’s growing refugee communities, and you can find us at nemosaic.org. Interview men and women from Sudan, Iraq, Bosnia, El Salvador, Congo, Burma and many other places, all living right here in Lincoln. Learn what it’s like to leave behind family and friends, your own language and culture, to come to the United States.

If you’ve always wanted to study abroad but haven’t had the time or the money, this is the next best thing. And if you have studied abroad, this is a great way to continue that experience.

I am looking for 12 qualified students for the fall semester of JOUR 491/891 Nebraska Mosaic. I’m somewhat flexible, but I prefer you have completed either JOUR 302 or JOUR 404 or BRDC 369 and 370. The journalism you produce for this class can be text stories, photojournalism or video packages.

I am also looking for three students with those same prereqs interested in a summer independent study to keep the website fresh over the summer.
