Reporters Without Borders

Here is a great opportunity for students interested in communications, and it could win them a free trip to New York City this spring!

Reporters Without Borders is partnering with CNN to select the best student-made video about press freedom submitted. Not only will the video be aired on CNN, but the winner will be flown to New York to celebrate their accomplishment with media gurus from all over the world.

How it works:
·         Students at any US university can collaborate on a video PSA of up to 50 seconds in length, that answers the question “Why should we care about freedom of information?”  The deadline is March 19, 2012. Complete rules and guidelines can be found on http://www.rsf.org/videocontest
·         The winning video will be chosen in April by a jury of RWB and CNN representatives, media personalities, and human rights activists and will air several times on May 3, 2012, World Press Freedom Day
