Journalism/PR student for short-term internship
Short-term internship:
Looking for a reporter/newsletter layout artist to cover our Youth Annual Conference. The conference’s primary location is Nebraska Wesleyan University with limited activity at St. Mark’s UMC, located at 84th and Pioneer Blvd.
Flat $500 for work tendered from June 5-9, 2012.
Duties include:
Write and produce four daily youth newsletter,s sort of a “show daily” covering the events of the previous day and what’s coming up on the next.
Usually includes one feature story a couple of sidebars and a calendar.
Must be able to take photos, and produce the whole publication in Indesign.
Hours are driven by the activity of the Youth Annual Conference (tentative schedule attached). Overall direction and time frame will be agreed upon by the student and Kathryn Witte. Late-night hours can be expected.
Equipment will be provided, although student may use their own if they are more comfortable using their own camera, etc.
Selected student must be a self-starter, good writer/editor, able to do newsletter design in InDesign.
