The Lincoln Children's Museum, Andersen Hall's neighbor to the west at 1040 P Street, is looking to fill several positions ASAP, understanding that some of the most qualified individuals for these positions--especially the full-time graphics designer position--may be graduates in May.
Graphics Designer (Full Time, $22,000-$23,000)
Lincoln Children's Museum is looking for an entry-level Graphic Designer with exceptional talent, enthusiasm and versatility. If you have experience working with Adobe's Creative Suite programs, including InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop and love to create amazing designs on a deadline, this might be a great start to your career. In addition to demonstrated graphics talent, the right applicant should have some understanding of photography, social media and video editing. If you like to have fun, enjoy working with youths and have a passion for producing quality work, consider working at Lincoln Children's Museum. Design is the majority of this job, but it will also require you to be customer-service oriented, assist with event planning and execution and complete other office tasks as assigned.
Marketing Intern (12 or more hours per week, unpaid)
Lincoln Children's Museum seeks a personable and hard-working marketing intern to assist the Museum's Director of Marketing, as well as other positions as needed within the organization. Responsibilities include: assisting with media releases, event planning, mailings, website updates, poster design and some data entry as needed. A minimum of 12 hours per week is requested, with no less than three-hours per scheduled day. Although this is an unpaid internship, it's a great opportunity to build your resume, develop your talents as a young professional and network with other marketing leaders in the community. Free parking is available.
