As a Web Development Intern, you will create and modify engaging and effective websites, micro-sites, social media initiatives, mobile applications, and more. Our intern will take on real work challenges and gain hands on experience as they work directly with the Senior Director of Marketing, Front End Developers, and Web Designers on developing Assurity’s websites. This paid internship offers flexibility around your school commitments.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Maintain and provide ongoing design of the website, promos and ad banners, seasonal content updates, and special promotion materials.
> Coordinate and collaborate with Project Managers, Graphic Designers/Developers and other graphic artists on images, icons, banners, audio, etc.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
> Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Wire-framing Tools, SQL, Flash.
> Experience with scripting and interface languages such as: JavaScript, PHP.
> Experience with web UI design.
> Working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and Google+.
> Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
> Experience with file management, developing multimedia content and using illustration tools.
> Talent required in values, work intensity, achiever, positivity, resourcefulness, command, relationship-extension, and exactness.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
> Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design or a related field.
Ability to work 20-25 hours per week during the school year required.
