This temporary position works as part of the Development Team at the Nebraska Community Foundation (NCF), a private, statewide community and rural development organization. More information about NCF is available at http://www.nebraskahometown.org.

With the direction and supervision of the Director of Community Development Philanthropy, the position involves writing and editing training and education materials targeted toward NCF affiliated funds and affiliated fund leaders. Projects may include manuals, flyers, e-newsletter production, items for the web and social media sites and others. The position may also involve research, interviewing, fact-checking and simple layout and design. Other assignments may include helping organize special events and trainings, working with SurveyMonkey to gather data on which to build programs, and being involved in planning and producing webinars. Other duties may be assigned.

Position is for one semester initially but may be extended.

Hours: 10 – 20 week depending on student’s schedule

experience:
• Strong, demonstrated writing skills including exceptional attention to grammar
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and an understanding of AP Style
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Interest in community and rural development, and philanthropy
• Ability to meet deadlines and perform accurate work

additional requirements:
• Sophomore/junior level preferred
