SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP:
National Research Corporation seeks a motivated marketing intern to assist the marketing department. The intern will assist National Research in management and fulfillment of our annual Consumer Choice Awards among other general marketing responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate will be a creative and persistent problem solver and able to work independently. He/she will work directly with the marketing leadership team while also work closely and collaborating with other associates across the organization.
The marketing internship is temporary and will run from Sept. 2012 through December, 2012. The position pays $10/hour and National Research is within walking distance of campus.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assisting with the planning and coordination of marketing the Consumer Choice award
• Researching potential marketing opportunities related to the Consumer Choice award
• Responsible for proofing and delivery of quality information to award winners
• Database management and tracking
• Point of contact for client and award winner communication

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:


Some college coursework or comparable professional experience required.
Interest in marketing and/or program management.

Communication / Organizational Skills:

Strong attention to detail necessary. Must posses the ability to prioritize workload throughout the day and week, in order to meet weekly deadlines while still accomplishing daily tasks. Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision at times. Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills are required. Time management and prioritization is a must.

Computer Skills:


Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
