Reporter wanted:
Looking for a young, enthusiastic general assignment reporter to write for a community-minded newspaper.
The position places an emphasis on sports, but reporters will also be asked to cover beats ranging from education to county government as well as contribute a monthly column.
experience:
Reporters should have a bachelor's degree in journalism, be able to write descriptive, compelling and accurate sports coverage and news stories, as well as generate their own story ideas, follow up on leads and copy edit using AP style.
additional:
Reporters can expect to gain a wealth of experience in short order thanks to our small, dedicated staff and a vibrant, busy community.
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, photography and layout a plus, but will train.
Company van available, mileage reimbursed when using own vehicle.
The Saratoga Sun has won awards for photography, layout, features, sports coverage and advertising.
