Position: Copywriting Intern
Reports to:
Position Summary: The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking a copywriting intern from the University of Nebraska’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications. This qualified candidate is a self-motivated student who is passionate about learning the digital side of content development and copywriting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Generate relevant and timely news articles on a weekly basis for the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce as well as the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development, subdivisions of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce
• Maintain news content placement on LCOC.com, Lincoln.org and SelectLincoln.org
Required Skills:
• Skilled writer with knowledge of AP style
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of grammar, punctuation, and usage standards
• Technology comfortable aptitude
• Web content or development experience
• Proficiency with the Internet, social media, and e-mail
• Ability to work creatively, independently, and as a team member
• Journalism, English, Advertising and/or Communications background
Position Details:

• Flexible hours (must be able to maintain 15 hours per week)
