Apply for a $500.00 scholarship! For Journalism majors with sophomore standing or above. The Essex Scholarship is a need-based scholarship with a preference for a Nebraska high school graduate. Turn in a 200 word essay detailing why you should receive this scholarship (attach a cover letter or resume).
Apply for a $1,000.00 grant for international travel from the George and Eva Grimes Memorial Fund. Submit a sample of your writing (newspaper article, press release, case study, essay, etc.), and a recommendation from one of your instructors, and a few paragraphs explaining how you would use the funds for foreign travel.
All materials should be submitted to Cheri Oltman in the main office of Andersen Hall, Room 147.
