KRNU is hiring!

We are looking for the next group of creative, motivated staffers to help us with our student radio/webstream programming and production efforts. Any major in CoJMC is welcome - we will train you as necessary. While we are happy to visit with you about whatever interests you might have, we have paid positions open in the following specific areas for the spring semester:

--Music Director(s) – the folks responsible for working with artists at all levels to get their music on our station and webstreams; responsible for coordinating our playlists, reporting airplay to music labels and our national reporting service, and for maintaining the stations’ social media accounts. This is a good training ground for folks interested in working in the music industry after graduation.

--Announcers – the folks who staff the general format hours for 90.3 KRNU and KRNU2 in person, through automated voice-tracking, or a combination of both. Again, we’ll train you, and because the stations run 24/7, shifts are available to accommodate just about any schedule. Good opportunity to develop your vocal performance and audio production skills. (NOTE: we’re also interested in visiting with students who have an idea for a specialty show; but specialty show staffing is voluntary.)

--Support positions – the behind the scenes folks who help with things like preparation of daily station program logs, production of public service and promotional announcements used on the stations, station marketing/branding, staffing at events, etc. A good way to start your involvement with KRNU if you are uncertain being on the air is the right fit for you.

Positions will start after the beginning of the year.
