PAPPAS TELECASTING OF CENTRAL NEBRASKA is on the lookout for qualified applicants interested in becoming a Newscast Producer.
Newscast producers are leaders in our newsroom. Producers organize, write and edit newscasts from start to finish and are in charge of motivating the team while ensuring that all timing deadlines are met.
We are seeking individuals who love to write, have strong organizational skills and excellent time management skills. The right candidate will be creative, an excellent speller and will have a full understanding of grammar within the context of the AP style. We’re looking for someone who can take complex material and slim it down to write clear, concise news stories that engage our viewers.
Producers must meet strict deadlines, handle pressure situations calmly, manage time well and be self-starters. A great attitude is a must in our team driven newsroom! Strong news judgment is also a highly desired attribute.
