Description:
The Newsday summer internship program runs for 10 weeks and is designed for college students interested in a media career. Interns will work as reporters, copy editors, visual journalists or designers for the newspaper and the web, and are given actual assignments for publication. Interns are participants, not merely observers, in the daily process of putting out the newspaper and the website. The summer program also provides weekly seminars in which participants join with regular Newsday staff members in informal discussions.

Eligibility:
-You must be a junior, senior or graduate student enrolled in a degree program as of December 2014.
-At least one previous internship at a daily newspaper, magazine or website
- Reporter and Visual Journalist interns must have a valid driver’s license and a car.

Deadline:
Applications must be submitted no later than Dec. 6, 2014. Candidates will be notified by Jan. 25, 2015.
