The DREAM BIG Academy (Develop, Risk, Empower, Achieve, Maximize, Build, Innovate, Grow) provides diverse, upcoming high school seniors the opportunity to learn about the dynamic world of business and potential career opportunities. The academy emphasizes leadership, networking skills and success in the business world.
Mentors will gain leadership experience, get connected with UNL faculty and staff, and get paid to do it!
Those who apply should be:
• Current high school juniors
• First generation or underrepresented students or those who meet federal guidelines for low income status
• Students who have a 2.5 GPA or higher
• Those who are interested in business
Those who are selected will:
• Learn about the world of business
• Participate in a college experience firsthand – academically and socially
• Network with peers, business leaders as well as UNL faculty and staff
• Tour local businesses
• Align skills with their career goals
• Present their ideas in a professional context
• Learn about opportunities at UNL
• Free room and board in a UNL Residence Hall provided by ConAgra Foods
