Marketing and Design Internship, National Collegiate Honors Council

The National Collegiate Honors Council is a nonprofit member association, made up of faculty and college students in honors programs at nearly 900 institutions across the United States and abroad. We provide content and resources to those who teach in honors, aiding them in creating and improving their programs.

NCHC’s small office staff (located inside UNL’s Neihardt Residence Hall) needs the assistance of an experienced intern who can participate in various stages of print and online marketing campaigns. This fall-semester, paid internship in a fast-paced team environment will provide you with hands-on planning and execution of marketing projects on a national scale.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the creation of signage, fliers, direct mailers, social media and email campaigns for a national audience
• Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials
• Research member data for use in marketing materials
• Prepare or edit presentations
• Create digital images and content for marketing campaigns and member materials
• Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and more
• Perform analysis of social media and web performance

Requirements:
• Upperclassmen standing (junior or above)
• Marketing/ advertising/ Communications major preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with extensive knowledge of web, graphic design and social media
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is necessary; Microsoft Office experience a bonus
• Schedule flexibility; 3-5 hours a week desired, in one or two-day time blocks
