KETV-TV, Hearst Television’s ABC affiliate in Omaha, NE, is hiring a part-time Director/Stagehand. Directors will direct and switch in live newscasts, during special events and for taped programming.
They will also shoot and edit news, commercials, promotional and public service announcements. They may also create graphics and operate in other positions such as teleprompter. Part-time Directors must be able to work all hours as assigned along with weekends and holidays. Part time Directors will work approximately 20-25 hours per week averaged over a three (3) month period.
Qualification Requirements:
- Must have a “can do” attitude and a passion for
excellence.
- Must have flexibility to work various days and shifts
as assigned including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work effectively with other team
members.
- Must have ability to perform with accuracy while under
pressure.
- Must be able to multi-task accurately.
- Must be able to physically perform all tasks
assigned.
- Must be able to follow instructions, verbal and
written.
Education:
Associate’s Degree in Broadcasting.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience in lieu of
degree is acceptable.
