KOBI-TV NBC5 in Medford, Oregon has a full-time opening for a Technical Director. Applicants must work well in a team atmosphere and under pressure to meet deadlines. The ability to stay calm and focused in tense situations, and have quick reaction times are an absolute must. This position will be working weekends, and requires a self-motivated individual with the ability to stay productive during non-peak hours. An insurable driving record and the ability to pass a drug screen are pre-employment requirements.
Job duties will include ensuring the proper setup and operation of equipment used during broadcasts, and design and build graphics for newscasts. This position requires long periods of computer monitoring and the ability to reach buttons on a production switcher.
