Still looking for a newspaper writing and reporting internship for this summer?
If so, act quickly – by this coming Friday morning -- and you will have a shot at this one.
An opening has popped at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock for a features-writing internship this summer.
The slot would last 13 weeks or thereabouts. Pay is $12 an hour for 40 hours a week. You need to be skilled enough to write centerpiece stories for the 10 feature sections right away. You need to have prior newspaper experience, ideally through an internship, and strong clips.
The features editor at the paper will base her decision on those clips, a resume and a phone conversation. We’ll have an initial review of your credentials here at the college and will then suggest up to three people for her to consider.
