Communications Intern, UNL Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources

The Communications Intern is a position with part-time hours available during the school year and full- time hours during the summer. Its location is in Lincoln’s Airpark.

The successful candidate will assist or lead a variety of digital and print projects aimed at increasing public awareness of the Nebraska Local Technical Assistance Program’s (NE LTAP) courses, events, publications, initiatives, etc. The successful applicant will be expected to establish a set schedule of when s/he will be in the NE LTAP office.

Summary of Duties:
• Develop print and digital publications to support NE LTAP courses and initiatives.
• Utilize Drupal content management system to edit or create NE LTAP web pages.
• Contribute to NE LTAP’s social media presence according to our communications strategy.
• Assist as needed on projects related to the organization’s communications strategy.
• Attend check-ins for new assignments and an evaluation of ongoing projects.

The successful candidate should have basic html/CMS skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications including Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator and InDesign.
$12.00 hour
