Summer Internships, RAPP (Los Angeles)

From RAPP:

Are there internships that are breaking the mold?
Yes, actually.

At RAPP, we don’t follow the traditional internship model. We throw successful applicants in at the deep end. They’re expected to rise to responsibility, compete with their peers, mess up and make good on their mistakes.

THE PROGRAM
We will select the six best candidates as full-time interns. You'll be working on both client business and a friendly intern competition. What kind of competition? It’s a two-team throw down that pits peer against peer—with RAPP mentors on hand to make sure no fur flies. Each team gets a small budget before they’re let loose on a brief of their own.

THE RECRUITS
Pigeonholes. Who needs them? At RAPP, our interns aren’t classified by discipline. We want you to have the greatest possible exposure to the greatest possible range of experiences. That’s why we recruit across three diverse profiles:

DOERS
Individuals who can’t sit still. They generally want to be working toward a defined destination. If they’re not doing something, they’re just not happy.

THINKERS
They pull problems apart, examine the pieces and see which bits fit together in unexpected ways. All they want is to provide solutions no one else has thought of yet

THE OUTCOME

CONNECTORS
Have you ever noticed those people who other people just seem to gravitate toward? The ones who are a mysterious kind of social glue? These are them.
What we’re looking for is thinking that takes the agency world by storm. What you'll get is an experience that combines real life work in an environment that celebrates your growth and teaches you to marry both logic—and magic.
So, if you're wondering if there are still killer ad internships out there, the answer to that is simple.
Yes, actually. June 13, 2016–August 12, 2016
