We need a design intern that is hungry for work. No matter the size, scope or spotlight, this work saves our team time and money. We’re looking for someone who is willing to take on the busy work, but also able to step up to the plate when we need a heavy-hitter. Your projects will come fast and furious, so it’s important you remain cool under pressure and flex your muscles when necessary. Cross-listed as life-saver.
You Are
• Skillful and deliberate. You know your way around design software, but can also effectively communicate ideas from sketches.
• Team Oriented. You have thick skin and can roll with creative critiques.
• A responsible designer. You take ownership in your work, hitting deadlines, meeting expectations and raising red flags when you see them.
• Well-versed. You know the difference between bleed and trim size, and how they play into prepping a file for print.
• Confident with your decision-making. You know how and when to push back on certain details.
You Will
• Canvass your work with other designers. You’ll take part in weekly design critiques with other design professionals from across the company in order to level up your knowledge and craft.
• Manage your own projects. You’ll be expected to communicate and work with project team members to ensure deadlines get met and quality is to standard. Don’t worry, you won’t be totally independent.
• Hone your craft. We need you to thread the needle, not toss Hail Marys. In other words, we’re looking for attention to detail. You will learn and apply graphic design best practices in order to limit time spent revising.
