Mentor, Lincoln Public Schools

Lincoln Public Schools have a fantastic mentorship program for highly gifted students in K-12, and they are in dire need of mentors in Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and World Language. Ulterior motive: my daughter is one of those who still needs a mentor. It made a huge difference for her last year; she went from crying about being bored to (literally) singing about how much she loved school. It would be tremendous if you'd help spread the word. :)
* Mentors need to be a junior or senior in college or above, with a subject GPA of 3.5 or above, and need to be able to work with a student for an hour during the day.
* University folks are great (junior or seniors, grad students, staff, or faculty), as many have flexible schedules and are passionate about education. I’d particularly like to tap into University folks because I don’t think many people really know about the opportunity.
* Plus, it’s paid ($18/hr— at least it’s a little something). It could be a great resume-builder.
