Campus Rec’s Marketing & Communications Team is accepting applications for a Social Media & Video Intern.
We’re looking for a current UNL student who:
-loves social media + creates dynamic, engaging posts
-knows Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter like a good friend
-gives Campus Rec a fresh, unique + young voice in reaching UNL students
-creates – you take ideas from us or other sources, put your own spin on them and make them amazing.
-brings fresh & unique perspectives, especially with Instagram. You’re a wiz at telling stories through social media.
-is an early adopter – you know what trends are coming in pop culture and tech before they hit.
-is spontaneous, but professional and an all-around decent person.
-takes direction well from the team, but pulls your weight by bringing new ideas to the table.
-can film and edit video like nobody’s business
-is inclusive – you understand the diversity of our campus and strive to reflect that in posts, photos, videos, etc.
-understands Campus Rec programs & locations, or you’re a quick learner.
-identifies the #ActiveHusker spirit in students, faculty, & staff…and shares their images & story with our followers.
-is mobile & flexible. Don’t even think about sitting behind a desk all day – we want you on the scene of what’s happening in Campus Recreation.
-persuades and convinces, yet tells the truth. You can get people excited about habits, events or offerings.
-seeks out stories and themes and executes them quickly.
This is a paid internship. Estimated 15 hours per week w/ flexible scheduling (depending on events that need to be covered.)
Intern works directly w/ the Marketing & Communications Team and indirectly w/ all Campus Rec professional and student staff.
