Video and Multimedia Producer
The Lincoln Journal Star has an immediate opening for a full-time online video and multimedia producer. A successful candidate must have experience producing daily news videos both in studio and in the field, must have experience filming and editing HD video and should be comfortable providing on-camera talent direction. Advanced working knowledge of the Adobe CS4 Production Suite, including Premiere, After Effects, Sound Booth, Photoshop and Adobe's media encoder is required. Web experience is also critical and working knowledge of HTML, FTP, web standards and .FLV encoding parameters is strongly preferred. Applicant must possess strong problem-solving skills, experience trouble-shooting program errors, be a self-starter and ability to work alone and as part of a team.
The ideal candidate must be prepared to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekend. Experience producing sports videos, using content management systems, writing headlines and cut-lines is helpful. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, current auto insurance and a good driving record is required.
