Internship, Hildegard Center for the Arts (HCFA)-Lincoln, NE

Hildegard Center for the Arts (HCFA)—Lincoln, NE is seeking a talented individual to join our team. Qualified candidate will be given a variety of opportunities to hone skills and gain work experience in a professional setting—to include internal, external and creative communication projects /programs to help HCFA fulfill its mission. This position is unpaid and requires ten hours per week—hours are flexible. Parking expenses paid. Located close to University Campus; 920 “O” Street, Suite #1, Old City Hall Building, Lincoln.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Write, edit and proofread content for newsletters, press releases, website, grant applications and other company communications
-Update HCFA’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) with relevant and engaging posts
-Assist with managing website as needed
-Design brochures, flyers and other print materials
-Attend board meetings
-Assist with special projects and general business organizational needs as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

-Excellent verbal and written skills demonstrated in a professional demeanor
-Self-starter who can work independently but enjoys working with a team for a common goal
-Strong graphic design/web design skills and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite software
-Proficient with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
-Proficient with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

**Knowledge of AP style writing, Microsoft Excel, WordPress, MailChimp and Google Analytics are a bonus
