The CND is the largest design hub in the country, and we are looking for a college journalist with a passion for visual storytelling to join us for one outlandishly awesome summer in sunny Austin, Texas. (Live Music Capital of the World, and food trucks for days, y’all. We’re just saying.)
This is a paid, 10 week design internship that will be primarily focused on digital design and development, but with approximately 25% spent on print design.
Qualifications:
-You’re going to be a top-level junior, senior or recent graduate of a communications or journalism program interested in multimedia storytelling and impactful visual journalism
-You have some previous collegiate, internship and/or professional experience in digital and print programs/platforms. (You’re not an expert, but you can make it happen.)
-You have a strong understanding of InDesign and a good grip on UX/UI design.
-You have the drive, desire and determination to spread the news
and have no problem taking ownership of projects from brainstorming to completion.
-You’ve dabbled in the world of content management systems.
