Typical Duties:
Make contacts and gather information about news issues and events in Wyoming and the West. Write interesting news stories from wire copy, field reports and telephone interviews telling stories and writing to video. Shoot and edit your stories, writing to video and editing to copy. Perform Anchor duties as assigned, including newscast producing. Appear at public gatherings and perform others tasks related to the position as assigned.
Requirements:
Mandatory ability to meet deadlines and work cooperatively with other staff members. Knowledge of shooting and editing video is required. Some previous reporting experience beyond college would be helpful, but not essential. A natural curiosity about about the world and a wide knowledge base will make for a great product. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is a plus, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. A valid driver's license with no DUI's is mandatory. The ability to lift 50 pounds of gear is also required.
