Remote Intern Political Writer, The Inland Review

The Inland Review is a journalism startup that is leveraging new technologies to improve the way we consume and interact with our news. We are a national news website with a focus on policy analysis. Our goal is to create great content that helps people understand policy decisions and provide a platform that will better engage and educate the readers. We are currently looking for intern political writers who will specialize in one of the following areas: education, health, energy/environment, business, and crime/justice.

The ideal candidate is someone with a natural interest in the functionings of government and how it impacts us as citizens. They would use facts and reason to form their opinions rather
than emotion. We are constantly looking for better ways to report the news, this means the candidate will need to be comfortable with a non-traditional way of interacting with your readers.

If you have..
-A strong desire to learn and write about the functions of government
-An analytical approach to your writing and research
-The ability to consider both sides of an argument, whether you agree with them or not
-The ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms

This is a part-time opportunity. You would be required to publishing your articles within a reasonable time frame and revise your articles based on user feedback or fact checking.
