York News-Times is now hiring an associate copy editor. Duties
include layout and design of newspaper pages with strong
emphasis on Sports pages, proofreading and editing copy for
print and web, adjusting photos as well as daily updating of
content to newspaper website. Hours are Monday through
Friday, 3-11 PM. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Skills Required:
-Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
-Knowledge of AP Style a plus, will train
-Attention to detail a must
-Bachelor’s degree in journalism, mass communications or applied art or a minimum of one year equivalent experience is preferred
