CoJMC students win MOE awards, will compete at national level

Fifteen students from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications won 2016 Mark of Excellence (MOE) Awards from The Society of Professional Journalists. The students competed in region 7, which includes collegiate competitors from Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. The students will compete at the national level among other regional MOE winners.

MOE entries are judged by professionals with at least three years of journalism experience. Judges were directed to choose entries they felt were among the best in student journalism. If no entry rose to the level of excellence, no award was given.
