Social Media Intern - The Platte Basin Timelapse

The Platte Basin Timelapse project (PBT) is currently looking for a new Social Media Intern to join our team.

The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of digital media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. They will use our archive of more than 1,000,000 time-lapse images to create engaging social media and blog post that are relevant to the message and branding of Platte Basin Timelapse. They will develop a social media strategy and content calendars. They will research and write background information that provides the basis for contextual storytelling that is centered around our cameras.

We will also provide any additional training that may be inquired through the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and other storytelling applications.

The internship is paid, minimum wage and a minimum of 10 hours a week.

It is our preference to provide internships to students as they enter their Sophomore or Junior year so that the extensive training and experience will be of a duration that will be valuable to both the student and to PBT regarding efficiency and depth.  

We are looking a student who is passionate about water, environmental conservation, agriculture, educational outreach, and multimedia storytelling.  

Some of the qualities we will be looking for in a candidate include but are not limited to; excellent communication skills, self-motivated, eager and willing to learn, creative mind, enthusiastic, accountable.

The intern will be working mostly with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and Nikon DSLR cameras, so prior knowledge of these are ideal but not necessary.
