To be considered, an applicant must have a college degree in journalism, English or related field; must know grammar; must recognize libelous writing; be able to accurately sum up a story in just a few words for headlines; and be familiar with Associated Press style. Applicants brought in for interviews should expect to take copy-editing and headline-writing tests. Experience using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign6 and Photoshop a plus. We’re looking for someone who can take direction, is a fast learner and has a passion for providing accurate, timely information to our readers.
