The flagship radio station for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, KLIN in Lincoln, is looking for its next Sports Director. If you love college sports, have at least two years of hands-on broadcast and online experience, and thrive in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing, then we want to talk with you.
Digital sports experience is required. Superb social media skills are a must. Prior broadcasting experience is desired but applicants from other journalism platforms are welcome.
Job requirements include covering local sports practices and games with an emphasis on the University of Nebraska, anchoring sportscasts, leading sports coverage, producing sports programming, as well as assisting the news and programming departments by producing shows, reporting breaking news, and imaging the station as directed by the Program Director. Necessary broadcast and digital media skills include sports and news writing, reporting, anchoring, imaging, production, imaging, creativity, social media, and online video.
