1011Now is looking for the right candidate to anchor weekend newscasts and report for the market’s strong #1 station.
General Responsibilities:
You will need to Produce and anchor weekend newscasts. Be the key decision maker on weekends, guiding reporters and directing the response during breaking news. Be ready to react and improvise when the unexpected occurs.
Enterprise, shoot, write, and edit lead stories on reporting days. Be a digital-first journalist, posting compelling content to social media and station digital platforms.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of professional newsroom experience
- Anchoring, producing, and reporting experience.
- An engaging and comfortable on-air personality
- The ability to enterprise and produce compelling content from start to finish
- The ability to use exceptional news judgement to prioritize tasks and assignments
- College degree in Broadcasting Journalism is preferred
Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record. Employment is contingent on successfully passing drug screen and driving record check.
