NET – Nebraska’s PBS & NPR Station – is looking for students eager to develop greater experience in podcast production. NET is currently producing On the Table, a podcast exploring the 2018 Farm Bill.
This bill is one of the most important pieces of national legislation, and one about which most Americans know next to nothing. We’re changing that one episode at a time. How can you help?
We are looking for production assistance researching background on episodes like:
> Disaster Relief
> The Farm Bill as a Safety Net
> Forestry
> International View on Farm Bill Policy
This would include writing out details for scripts, researching databases, pulling, and editing historical audio. Additional responsibilities could include gathering audio interviews and sound. We also would want help editing final scripts and promoting newly released episodes through email notifications, social media, and Facebook audiograms.
Preferred candidates will have an interest in ag policy and have some experience in audio production. But students with interest or experience in either are encouraged to apply.
