Marketing and Research Manager
Twin Cities Development Association in Scottsbluff, NE is seeking a Marketing and Research Coordinator. TCD is the economic development agency representing Scottsbluff and Gering, NE (population 24,000).
Position Summary: Coordinates lead generation, marketing, media and project identification activities for Twin Cities Development Association related to recruitment of new companies and expansion of existing businesses for the area.
The position will also be responsible for keeping printed and web materials updated and assist with general economic development activities for the organization. Will require overall knowledge of state and local incentive programs and may involve some travel.
Job duties:
· Create a lead generation program for Twin Cities Development through utilization of Industry blogs, chat rooms, effective marketing materials, research of target industries, utilization of SIC codes, mailers, phone calls, emails, trade journals, media and other resources
· Utilize multiple research outlets to contact specific target companies or industries. Build a cohesive and coordinated plan to systematically develop leads, contact prospects and coordinate with TCD staff to bring companies and job growth to the area
· Work with site selectors, realtors, contractors, architects, and target companies to develop a relationship and awareness of our community, sites, amenities, etc.
· Become the initial contact for TCD with potential companies and help determine the feasibility of projects
· Develop general knowledge of local and state incentive programs in order to talk effectively with potential companies interested in locating in the area
· Work with local companies and organizations to develop new revenue streams and partnerships where feasible. Utilize focus groups, meet with local businesses, work with other organizations
· Assist Director in development of a network of private developers, contractors, investors to create land and project development in the area
· Attend marketing events including trade shows, conferences, local events and prospect trips as needed.
· Manage TCD website to ensure community data and content is complete, accurate and up to date. Keep available properties current and active on TCD website as well as State of Nebraska and NPPD websites. Update site data and property brochures to keep accurate and current
· Keep Community Facts book updated and maintain Certified Economic Development Community Status through State of Nebraska
· Increase organization’s on-line presence and increase visibility, search ability and site awareness
· Assist in the development of proposals and marketing materials for the organization
· Maintains an active prospect files and records for development projects
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Assists director and TCD staff in other activities that relate to the overall economic development program
Salary range $36,000 to $40,000 annually
