News Reporting Intern - Omaha World-Herald (Omaha, NE)

The Omaha World-Herald is accepting applications for reporting interns for a 12-week internship in the summer of 2019. We’re looking for curious, flexible, quick-thinking journalists who want to get better. Expect to cover a variety of breaking news, features, enterprise and spot news.

Qualifications: Completion of junior year in college and previous internship experience at a daily newspaper or news organization. You’ll need previous experience because you’ll be assigned the same tasks that we give our full-time reporters. Interns work on a team of reporters and typically handle spot news and enterprise. Compensation: $10/hour.

How to apply: email writing samples, resume and cover letter to Dan Golden, assistant metro editor, at dgolden@owh.com. Put “Summer internship” in subject line. Interns will be selected by mid-November.

*Application deadline: November 2, 2018
