The CoJMC team placed 2nd overall in the "Easy Act, Big Impact" campaign.

Last week the CoJMC’s first-ever team participating in the National Organ Donor Awareness Competition placed second for its “Easy Act, Big Impact” campaign. Senior Christina Neary, who served as the team’s project manager, traveled to Austin to represent the team and receive the award at the Public Relations Student Society of America’s National Conference.

In addition to Neary, the CoJMC team included seven team members:
- Marie Fidegnon
- Allyssa Hynes
- Aleah Karimi
- Rachel Long
- Jordan Snader
- Anastasia Stepanyuk
- Allison Wetig

Their social cause campaign, implemented last April on campus, celebrated how the simple act of becoming a registered organ donor can have a lifesaving impact for the thousands of Nebraskans and more than 100,000 Americans in need of organ transplants.

“This CoJMC team stands out. The team’s tremendous work goes beyond national accolades. The campaign connected with campus and advanced the mission of state and national nonprofits,” said CoJMC Lecturer Sheri Sallee who served as the team’s faculty adviser.

Rowan University’s Anthony J. Fulginiti Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America annually sponsors the competition.
