Legal Assistant/Writer - Brown Immigration Law (Lincoln, NE)

Brown Immigration Law PC, LLO is an immigration law firm that serves a wide variety of corporate clients and individuals who are pursuing the American Dream. Our role is to support our clients in fulfilling that dream while also providing excellent service and peace of mind.

We seek good writers with awesome gray matter – we don’t hire for immigration experience (we will train), but seek talent, critical thinking skills, and a good heart. The role involves handling a variety of immigration matters for small businesses, hospitals, universities, startups, multinational corporations and research organizations.

You will work with attorneys, have contact with scientists, physicians, managers and other professionals to determine their skills and background, draft documents to establish their eligibility for immigration benefits and help guide them through the immigration process. We also support immigration needs of individuals and families.

Experience preparing LCA’s, H-1B, L-1, PERM, I-140, adjustments of status and IV consular processing is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.

Specific responsibilities include analyzing case documents, preparing immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency, and drafting petitions, applications and specialized support letters detailing eligibility for visa classification and other immigration benefits.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and organizational skills. Must be a detail-oriented self-starter who has the ability to handle multiple priorities and work well independently and as part of a team. Preference will be given to those applications with foreign language proficiency, preferably Spanish. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Brown Immigration is a positive work environment where the people we help are real and the work we do is important. Please connect with us if you share our passion and interest in helping others realize their dreams.
