Provide leadership and counsel for the Nebraska Alumni Association (NAA) in the general areas of communications, membership and marketing. Oversee the strategic direction, teams and individual staff members involved in the communications, marketing, branding, membership, publications, and public relations spaces.
Oversee project workflow and coordination of all aspects of the communications department. As with all NAA senior directors, the senior director of communications and marketing will serve as an ambassador for both the alumni association and for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and will provide leadership for the NAA staff through exemplary professionalism, work ethic and thought leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related field plus minimum 5 years of experience in event planning, communications, public relations, marketing or related field required. Demonstrated skills and knowledge in the design and execution of print and digital marketing/communication activities necessary.
Experience overseeing design and production of print publications, website management and social media components essential. Must have background with budget management and in building, mentoring and coaching a team of communications professionals.
