Social Media Property Assistant - Learfield IMG College/Husker Sports Marketing (Lincoln, NE)

The Social Media Intern is a current undergraduate student that will help to develop a strategy, organize, and implement all social media efforts for Husker Sports Marketing alongside the full-time team. You’ll work closely with our social correspondent on copywriting and social media monitoring.

You’ll also be responsible for ensuring the right assets are being delivered and all partnership obligations are being fulfilled. The strategy will include planning for all platforms across social media, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. The individual must be organized, have excellent communication skills, creative, and have an interest in learning as social media is an ever-changing landscape.

Responsibilities:
> Assist in daily management of social media accounts, including, but not limited to scheduling of postings, photo galleries, event promotion, fan interaction, and promotional activities.
> Assist in the creation of content for various social media platforms including but not limited to multimedia audio/video, animation, graphics, and sponsorable content.
> Work with team to develop a plan for all existing single platform content into cross platform content, delivered in a way to create revenue opportunities for our sales team.
> Assist to organize all content distribution into an efficient, easy to follow schedule/calendar to ensure all parties have a complete understanding.
> Focus on expanding social media opportunities through the creation of new content/inventory, with a focus on revenue generation.
> Develop a strategy to increase followers and engagement across all digital platforms.
> Evaluate, interpret, and decode performance analytics for the purposes evaluating content performance, fan/follower growth strategies, and improving community engagement.
> Expected to attend live Husker events and produce social content in-game.

Qualifications:
> Studying marketing, advertising, graphic design, or a similar field.
> Have a strong interest in social media and experience posting on various platforms (Facebook, twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, etc).
> Experienced in creating content (graphics and video), as well as copywriting and management of accounts.
> Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
> Creative and strategic in nature with the ability to think outside the box and articulate “big ideas.”
> Unquestioned integrity and trustworthiness. Adherence to IMG, university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
> Have a desire to work in the sports industry and ideally in college athletics.
> Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
> Exceptional verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
