The Producer’s role is to grow our audience and inform and entertain them every day. They should keep up with the ever-changing nature of social media and always be ready to come up with a new idea or try out the latest tools.
Qualified individuals will be: able to work well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment; self-motivated; flexible; extremely organized; very detail-oriented; tenacious yet tactful; a strong problem solver; able to work well under pressure in order to meet project deadlines, and will have a positive attitude. Create unique and arresting content that makes WOWT stand out on social media. Write and publish news and promotional content for the website and maintain daily poll on wowt.com and social platforms.
Research, propose and develop new and innovative emerging technologies strategies to expand upon and deliver the WOWT brand experience across all current and new platforms. Grow WOWT’s audience, and help news personalities grow in key social media channels, drive traffic to the WOWT website. Generate ideas that will inspire our users to contribute content for use in digital and print features. Assist reporters, anchors, and other news staff in generating content for social media. Ability to work evenings and weekends.
We prefer a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related field. Prefer at least three years’ experience. Creative and accurate writing is a must. Extensive knowledge and experience using emerging technologies, content and digital communication methods to develop new programs and strategies. Experience with website maintenance, content, and management systems. Extensive knowledge of Social Media landscape, networks, and toolsets. Social credibility: is an active and avid participant in the emerging technologies space. Work assignments could at times include evening, weekends and holidays. Pre-employment drug screening and random drug testing is possible throughout employment.
