Graphic Design Marketing Intern - The Lied Center (Lincoln, NE)

The Graphic Design Marketing Intern will assist in designing a wide variety marketing materials, both print and digital, for the Lied Center for Performing Arts. Projects will include direct mail, posters, displays, brochures, advertisements, emails, web graphics and more to support promotions of the Lied Center’s 100+ annual performances, statewide fundraising efforts and educational outreach activities.

Reporting to the Graphics Specialist, it is an excellent chance for a student to obtain real-world work experience, learn about client relations, and develop a wide array of pieces for a portfolio. This position is an important part of the marketing team for the Lied Center.

DUTIES include:
> Creating designs that support the overall brand of the Lied Center.
> Working with “internal clients” in education, development and sales departments to pitch project concepts and follow through with the project from start to finish.
> Maintaining organized electronic files, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
> Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe software including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
> Professional demeanor, attention to detail, and the desire to be a vital and consistent part of the marketing team.
> Ability to work efficiently; organization and a self-driven initiative are necessary.
> Some experience with social media, web design, e-communications and photography preferred.

Attention to detail and accuracy in work is a MUST; position is 15-20 hours/week.
