Want to get real world experience while working hands on with the latest in digital technology? Have a passion for sports and sports media? Well look no further than an internship with Corn Fed Sports, a student founded and operated digital media outlet dedicated to covering Husker sports in a way like never before.
Student interns will take on key roles as producers and distributors of Husker sports content for CornFedSports.com, as well as it's many social channels (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Flickr, Vimeo and others). In addition to receiving training and instruction on how to utilize and operate the latest in digital technologies, interns will also be applying these methods and tools to cover the various varsity and club sports offered at Nebraska and produce content that will help students develop a well-rounded digital portfolio in just 5-10 hours per week.
As part of this internship opportunity, students will utilize and gain skills pertaining to reporting, videography, photography, web production, social media distribution/engagement and mobile-media production/distribution. Due to Corn Fed Sports' role as a digital media outlet, we are looking for students with reporting, broadcasting or digital media backgrounds (i.e. ADPR students) to not only produce content but to truly experience the ground floor operation of an outlet that uses digital and social media as its primary medium.
These internships are currently unpaid, but as Corn Fed grows as a company we are looking to offer competitive, paid internships exclusively to CoJMC students so this could be a way to get your foot in the door for a paid opportunity to cover elite Division I athletics of all kinds.
To apply, send your resume and a short bio to cornfedsports@gmail.com or send us a Tweet @CornFedSports for more information.
