Engagement Zone Coordinator Search - Local Interview Schedule

The Engagement Zone Search process has now reached the local interview phase. I appreciate the participation of numerous Extension professionals in the campus interview process either in person or via Zoom. Special thanks to the EZC search committee members who have shared their time and talent to guide this extensive search process!

Thanks also to all who demonstrated the courage to pursue the EZC role. We have all grown from your participation in the process and you have helped shape the EZC model as it moves forward. The following is a sentiment that was shared with me and the search committee multiple times by candidates (paraphrased), “Even if I do not move on in the process, I believe in the EZC model and I will support it.” We appreciate you!

This week we begin the local interview phase of the EZC search process. Local interviews will facilitate an opportunity for candidates to engage with both internal stakeholders (support staff, extension assistants/associates, educators and specialists) and external stakeholders (extension board members, county board members, community leaders and volunteers).

Local interviews will be conducted at two venues in most engagement zones—Late morning and late afternoon. The interview at each venue will last two hours, including informal interaction time with stakeholders and brief verbal remarks from the candidate, followed by Q & A.
